Fair, Safe, and Efficient Team Assignments
DRPW Cheer uses an Age-Based Division to prioritize safety. Teams are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If a team is full, a waitlist is created, and registrants will be notified if space becomes available. Team placements are decided by the Board of Directors
5-6 Year Olds
NEW for 2025 from National Pop Warner!
A developmental competitive division for 5–6-year-olds, which includes both Sideline and Competition components. Refer to the Competition Acknowledgement for all event details. Participation is expected for all rostered cheerleaders.
7-13 Year Olds
Cheerleaders will be placed in the Age-Based division, which includes both Sideline and Competition components. Please review the Competition Acknowledgement for event details. Participation is expected from all rostered cheerleaders.
DRPW Age Based Team Divisions Defined
The National Pop Warner Age Matrix runs from August 1st to July 31st of the following year. Final athlete division placements are communicated after registration closes and the number of players and coach volunteers is confirmed. Del Rancho Pop Warner Age-Based Divisions are subject to change annually based on the total number of registered athletes and available coaches.
Late Registration: Interested participants who do not enroll by standard registration deadline will be placed on a waiting list. After all prior cheerleader team placements are completed, participants may be added if space is available and it’s before our vendors supplemental uniform order deadline. A $50 late fee will be charged to the Standard Registration Fee to cover all expedited processing and shipping costs associated with supplemental uniform orders
